A pair of two-storey twin pool villas in Kuta, Lombok — designed and delivered under Namu Arsitek, combining warm tropical materiality with a refined contemporary sensibility.
Namu Twin Villa is a residential development comprising two identical two-storey, two-bedroom pool villas in Kuta, Lombok. The project was conceived and executed during the team's tenure at Namu Arsitek — a Lombok-based design and build studio — where the Lead Design Architect held full responsibility for both the architectural design and on-site construction oversight from concept through to completion. The design brief called for a pair of villas that could operate independently as premium short-term rentals while maintaining a coherent architectural identity. The response draws on a warm tropical palette — white render, timber joinery, and natural stone — arranged around a central pool terrace that anchors each villa's ground floor living and dining spaces. Interiors are characterised by double-height stairwells with custom timber and steel balustrades, open-plan living areas that connect directly to the pool deck, and a material language that balances artisanal craft with clean contemporary lines. The staircase, treated as a sculptural centrepiece, is lined with handwoven rattan wall pieces and ceramic vessels, giving each villa a distinct sense of place. The project was delivered under Namu Arsitek (namulombok.com), with the Lead Design Architect overseeing design, documentation, contractor coordination, and construction management throughout.
