A luxury private villa in Ubud, Bali — conceived as a private sanctuary where contemporary materiality meets the organic rhythm of the island's cultural landscape.
Naarayan Private Villa is a luxury residential project set within the lush, terraced surrounds of Ubud, Bali. The design draws from the region's rich architectural heritage while embracing a refined contemporary language — warm timber, exposed concrete, and dark steel frames compose a palette that feels both rooted and elevated. The project was led by the team's Lead Design Architect, who oversaw the full design process from initial concept through to detailed construction documentation. The brief called for a private retreat capable of serving as both a personal sanctuary and a high-end rental property — a balance achieved through considered spatial planning, generous indoor-outdoor connectivity, and meticulous material selection. The villa features a double-height living pavilion that opens directly to the pool terrace, a chef's kitchen finished in marble and dark lacquer, and two bedroom suites each with their own distinct outlook and character. Every space was designed to frame the surrounding greenery, bringing the landscape into the daily experience of the home.
